Investments in solid dose manufacturing equipment and capacity are continuously applied in order to deliver the services required by our valued customers. Processing equipment options for solid dosage forms are continually being expanded and include high-shear granulators, fluid-bed dryers/granulators, roller compactors, v-blenders, ribbon blenders, tote blenders and a full range of compression equipment including bi-layer tablet presses.

Our significant solid dosage form capacity enables us to manufacture scale-up and small commercial batches on flexible manufacturing lines all the way through to the manufacture of high-volume products using efficient process trains.

Our solid dose manufacturing capabilities support virtually all dosage forms. Tablet capabilities include coated or uncoated, bi-layered, controlled release, sublingual and chewable tablets packaged in a variety of formats. Patheon is also proficient in the manufacture of hard capsules, powder blends, granules for reconstitution, suppositories and lozenges.
