PDS Toronto is based at Patheon’s Toronto Region Operations, Canada, and offers development services for conventional solid, semi-solid, and liquid dosage forms. PDS scientists at the facility are also experienced in the development of controlled release products, high-potency compounds, and Liquid-Filled Hard Capsules (LFHC) formats.

The development group provides clients with access to formulation development, process development, CTM manufacturing, and scale-up services for a range of product candidate types. From pre-clinical through to scale-up and registration PDS Canada can meet your development needs. All development services are fully supported with comprehensive analytical testing, including customized ICH stability programs.

Toronto Region Operations’ modern development facility consists of two formulation development laboratories and eight pilot scale development suites. These development suites are specially zoned and engineered for the development of high-potency compounds.

PDS Toronto also offers development services for Liquid-Filled Hard Capsules (LFHC), an ideal dosage form for high-potency or low solubility compounds. LFHC development is also available at Patheon’s PDS Cincinnati USA, PDS Milton Park UK and PDS Swindon UK development centers. Customers’ LFHC candidates can be seamlessly progressed to commercial manufacturing at Patheon’s Cincinnati Operations, USA
