Patheon's Corporate Office is located in the city of Mississauga, just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Located in the DuPont Corporate Centre, directly across the street from our Toronto Region Operations facility, the corporate office employs approximately 75 people in a variety of functions including finance, communications, marketing, and many other centralized functions.  Toronto Corporate Office Opportunities Minimize
Patheon has the following openings at this location:

Senior Commodity Supply Lead, Customs and Logistics (1 Year Contract)

Duties: 

Global Logistics Initiatives

·         Work on projects that support the corporate objectives or strategies 

·         Seek opportunities to negotiate price decreases, identify and quantify opportunities 

·         Develop new / novel supply techniques to ensure optimal value return for Patheon

Commodity Management

·         Assess Global transportation and freight forwarding requirements

·         Establish an approved commodity vendor base to satisfy the requirements of all applicable sites

·         Support the sites in maximizing supplier performance to ensure the best price, delivery, quality and service is being provided.

·         Develop an in-depth knowledge of the markets, cost drivers and vendors, generate global demand picture, negotiate and implement Corporate Supply Agreements

Process Management

·         Ensure Canadian “FAST” Importation program remains in compliance

·         Provide support as required to the organization and materials management areas 

·         Manage senior executive level relationships with key Patheon vendors

Leadership

·         Provide direction and guidance to the site Logistics Coordinators

·         Support Business group in import / export client issues and opportunities

·         Work with sites to foster compliance to current regulation

 

Qualifications:

§  Graduate from a related College or University program

§  CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) Designation

§  Experience as Commodity Lead in Global shipping and International Customs (min 3 year experience)

§  Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills

§  Experience in the Pharmaceutical environment is an asset
