Patheon’s Swindon Operations, UK, offers full commercial manufacturing services for conventional solid and semi-solid dosage forms, sterile products and high-potency products.

Swindon Operations provides manufacturing capabilities for emulsions, suspensions, creams, ointments, suppositories and terminally sterilized and aseptically filled sterile liquids. The facility is able to fill and finish a range of sterile liquid dosage forms, including vials, ampoules, glass and plastic eye drop bottles, and uni-dose, bi-dose and multi-dose sterile nasal sprays. The site also produces sterile ointments and creams in a variety of tube formats. Patheon’s European facilities each employ a Qualified Person (QP) to ensure prompt release of products within the European market.

Swindon Operations operates a fully segregated facility dedicated to the manufacture of sterile powdered cephalosporins. The site also hosts a newly constructed state-of-the-art lyophilized cephalosporin facility designed to meet international regulatory standards.
