Summary

The priority of this role is to safely manufacture high quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices.


Key Requirements
  • Process/manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders
  • Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products
  • Process/manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders
  • Clean processing equipment and rooms in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ensure product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and applicable regulatory agencies including, but not limited to the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI), United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMEA)
  • Follow the required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Proficiency with the English language
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience as a Machine Operator within a Manufacturing environment such as Pharmaceutical, Food, Automotive or parts fabrication, Plastics or Steel industries
  • Previous experience within the Pharmaceutical or Food Manufacturing industries considered an asset, including: Operator experience using Granulation equipment (either wet, dry/compaction or any combination of granulation experience), and/or Compression equipment (tablet presses, de-dusters, metal detectors, SOTAX machines, etc.), and/or tablet Coating equipment, and/or Encapsulation machines
  • Must be able to work well with limited supervision in a team environment
  • Must have good organizational, documentation and housekeeping skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to our fundamental principles of Integrity, Respect & Excellence
  • In this role it is essential to perform rotating shift and weekend work (12 hour continental shift rotation)
