Summary
Supervisor, Technical Projects

Supervises a group of analysts who conduct testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples. The team also validates methods. Supervises Analytical Project Representatives with client-facing responsibilities. Interacts with internal and external clients to set timelines, understand work requests, define and resolve issues, assign and distribute work, and communicate results. Participates and contributes to safety programs, department and client meetings, and in maintaining an orderly and safe laboratory environment.  Recognizes and solves analytical and product problems.  

Key Requirements
Conducts and documents investigations.    Reviews laboratory documentation for calculation, entry and GMP compliance.  Solves complex, non-routine analytical and product problems independently.  Oversees the documentation of laboratory experimentation in protocols and technical reports.  Coaches and mentors team members and oversees employee development.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years (Doctorate or Masters) or 5 years (Bachelors) experience in pharmaceutical analytical development in a Research & Development (R&D) and/or Quality (QA or QC) environment including experience with HPLC.   Must have a demonstrated ability to meet timeline requirements.  Must be organized, self-motivated, possess good interpersonal skills, and be able to handle a wide variety of work assignments. Has good judgment and awareness to recognize and solve laboratory/data issues.  Exhibits good writing skills and is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar programs.  Able and willing to work and lead in a team environment, to motivate others, to represent AD in client meetings, and to make technical decisions. 

 

Education Required:  Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis or a related discipline, or MS or BS with significant experience.
