About our speaker:

Dr. Pouria Motevalian leads the Gene Therapy Process and Analytical Development team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he oversees CMC development for gene therapy programs from preclinical through late-stage phases. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the company’s Plainville, MA vector development and manufacturing site, he provides strategic direction to advance innovative bioprocess technologies and address evolving client needs. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, Dr. Motevalian led biologics and vaccine process development at Pfizer, where he also championed the integration of digital technologies into R&D. He holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and has contributed to numerous publications, patents, and professional organizations in the field.
